Hiya everyone, this is the second edition of Waveform's newsletter! You didn't think I forgot, did you?
Upcoming Concert!
Our concert in collaboration with 26th Century is coming up in three short days! Don’t miss this one, the lineup is filled with awesome artists. TWB is this really cool, slender space that has an industrial feel. 26th century is also bringing their living cage light installation and Cindy is gonna be creating custom merch for the event, like CDs!

Buy tickets here (or at the door). All profits go back to the artists and to the organizations to help run more events in the future! There is free parking and it is a 10 minute walk from the Mill ION station. I know, not ideal, but we think the venue is worth the extra distance!
Updates from Collective Members
Our collective members are up to a lot! Including 2 shows and 2 releases.
Shaan (aka opals aka me!) just released an album called dendron. It’s drone and nature-themed! I also have tapes for sale. Let me know what you think of it!
Tony (part of the well-named band Drone Wasn't Built In A Day) just released an album to celebrate this year’s Parade Of Planets. Go check it out!
Andrew (who’s part of the Balinese Percussion Ensemble) is performing at the winter concert on March 27 in the Humanities Theatre at UW. How cool.
The Socratica Symposium is happening at the end of this month, which I am helping organize. It is a maker’s showcase/exhibition open to all, although registration is nearly full.
Monthly Music Meetup
This month’s meetup turned polyjamourous as we made some sound with synths! Nik brought his Korg Kaossilator/Kaoss pad (i think?) and we played around with it. Ben brought his Behringer Neutron synth (including a home-made guitar pedal) and we also messed around with that. We also talked about the physical media and the changing prices of concert tickets.

Thanks for coming, and as always, register for next month’s here.
Closing notes
Thank you for reading! Hope to see you at a future meetup and/or a show 😁. February has been a bitterly cold month where it seems like everyone has gotten a different kind of sickness. What music has been getting you through that? The glistening pools of emotion in Xièxie feel apt, especially “For the Entirety” in its 20-minute serenity. Or maybe some beautiful, lush folk by Klô Pelgag out of Québec on L'étoile thoracique.
Thanks for checking in,
Shaan from Waveform
